Meiko Electronics Co., Ltd. Announces Establishment of North American Headquarters

Kanagawa, Japan - October 9, 2001- Meiko Electronics Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer of Printed Circuitry, announced today the establishment of Meiko Electronics America, LLC.

Meiko Electronics America, LLC., will provide Meiko's North American customer base with a localized technical infrastructure comprised of Application, Quality, and Front-End Engineering services. Meiko Electronics America will also serve as Meiko's North American communications center, serving headquarters with marketing, public relations, and sales channel management.

"To properly meet the demands of our North American customers, we felt it necessary to provide the highest level of local service possible," says Mr. Masami Adachi, Assistant Manager of International Business Affairs. "The establishment of Meiko Electronics America is an important step in the further development of our world-class customer service model."

Meiko Electronics Co. Ltd. recently completed construction of a high-volume, multilayer PCB manufacturing plant in Guangzhou, China. This plant will complement Meiko's existing facilities located in Kanagawa, Yamagata, and Fukushima, Japan.
